The scan. Outcome: shin splints on the left leg (larger white spot) and signs of SF (small white spot) on the right leg. Note that I never had any pain in the right leg, and still haven't. Now my MD says that even a healed SF will continue to show up on a bone scan for months. I honestly don't know what to do know and who to believe... Plus, for the first time in years it makes me want to cry.

That SUCKS. You should go yell loud into a pillow. Or without one if you want to scare your neighbors.
I'm sorry, Silly Girl.
Get more opinions from different doctors and specialists, if they all agree with what they see then you must rest and heal. Remember to REST Christel, you are still young and you healing process is quicker than if you were older. Cry if you must but know there is a healing process you must go through to get back into things. *hugs* and lots of love for my fellow runner.
Oh No!!! Yes you should cry! You deserve a good cry session. I'm so sorry :(

It is a crazy situation and am totally for crying, sometimes it is necessary to be able to start the healing process. But I do agree about getting more opinions ... Good luck!
Man, I'm so sorry.
I'm sure they'll walk you through this, but you need a dexa (bone density) scan, too - they need to figure out (besides running) why you're evidently prone to these things.
::big big big big hugs::
