Three Questions Thursday

1. Naughty?: I was recently contacted by quite a large company that asked me to post about their products...but after me asking me which product they wanted me to review and in which time span, they told me they would send me some info, and I could write my review based on that. Yep, that's correct...I wouldn't review the actual product, but would just be writing a review based on their info. How could I possibly write a decent review without having the actual product in my hands? How weird is that. Especially since I'm talking about a well-known company here. Any thoughts on this?

2. Telecom: I've been home for several days now, but am still receiving text messages that seem to be sent to me while I was still in NYC. Uhm...roaming services? Did any of you ever have this problem?

3. Hello, here I am: On tonight's run I spotted way too many runners that worship the 'dark lord'. Exactly...no reflective gear. No blinkies. No light on them at all. Hello! Dangerous! Still don't get it. Also...I noticed that most runners were running on the right side of the cycling path. Which side of the road do you pick on late night/evening or early morning runs? Left or right?

I run into traffic so left side.

No clue on the messaging. I sometimes get text messages hours after the person has sent them...but days?

If you want to simply write because you like the company and have used other products or if you disclose that your review was based on information instead of your personal use, then cool. But for me, I would usually want to have personal experience with the product before I'd write.

Um. I'm pretty sure I was contacted by the same company. I also found it shady, and the chick never even responded when I questioned how I'd post about a product I'd never tried.... random.

I saw your post on FB and was wondering. I would NEVER review a product that I hadn't tried. WHO DOES THAT??? Totally weird.

That's terrible! They basically want free PR and want you to re-publish a press release? Naughty, indeed!

I've had a similar experience with someone wanting me to write about their products. I am always amazed at how many people still run with dark clothes and zero reflective gear facing away from traffic. I just don't get it. Have a super weekend!

I never run in the dark, but lately there is a lot of mist in the Netherlands. And there are these country roads that motorists use as their personal race track. Pretty dangerous. :(

Run safe!

Wow. I'm surprised a large, reputable company would do that.
